| Meet Our Mission Team Leader: Rev. Peter Schavitz, C.Ss.R. Hometown: Chicago Professed as a Redemptorist: 1970 Ordained to the Priesthood: 1976 Fr. Pete has wide and varied apostolic experiences: youth, adult, couple, divorced, and nuns' retreats; seminary professor; vocation ministry; parish ministry; provincial administration; and involvement in several radio and video projects. He began preaching parish missions in 1985 and is nearing 300 parish missions. As a native Chicagoan his greatest weakness is the fact that he is a die-hard Cub, Bear, Bull and Blackhawk fan. Pray that he may recover from this infirmity! |
