St. Mary's Parish Mission
September 27-October 1, 2009
Welcome to our webpage dedicated to our Parish Mission which
will be held on Sunday, September 27 through Thursday,
October 1, 2009.  There will be a Mission service each evening
from Sunday - Thursday at 6:30 PM in church, and also morning
Masses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:15AM in
church.  There will be refreshments and fellowship following
each service and each morning Mass.  Please click on the links on
the bar to the left to find out all you need to know about our
Mission including schedules and how you can be of help to us in
planning the Mission.
HOW CAN I HELP?

We will need help from many parishioners in order to make our Mission a
success.  More involvement will make for a more fulfilling Mission experience.
We will need help with providing child care and refreshments during the
Mission week.  We will also need folks to help us during the Mission services
to serve as lectors, greeters, symbol carriers, etc.  If you can help us, please

WHAT IS A PARISH MISSION?

The mission is an extraordinary preaching event.  God's Word is proclaimed
through the Bible and Catholic Doctrine.  It is also proclaimed through the
life, learning and personal experience of the preacher.

The mission services begin on Sunday night and end on Thursday night.  
Services last about one hour and fifteen minutes, give or take five or ten
minutes depending on attendance and other factors.  NO OTHER PARISH
ACTIVITIES OR EVENTS ARE TO BE SCHEDULED DURING THE MISSION.

Everyone 10 years of age and older is invited and encouraged to attend the
mission services.  Child care will be provided for those 3-9 years of age.  
Transportation will be provided for those unable to drive.  Light
refreshments will be served following the Mission services.
